Japandon Imported Yame Green Tea

Gyokuro - the Highest Grade of Japanese Green Tea
The green tea that we import comes from Yamé, in the prefecture of Fukuoka, Japan. Gyokuro is considered as being the highest grade and quality of Japanese green tea. The tea that Japandon imports held all the ranking positions from 1st to 26th in national tea fair in August 2007. Clearly, our tea is of exceptional quality and value. To recieve a sample or to discuss retail or wholesale purchasing please contact Japandon. Very little genuine Gyokuro arrives in Europe. Until now. We will begin to import this tea in February 2008.
Sencha - Daily Japanese Green Tea
Sencha is a type of Japanese green tea that is drunk on a daily basis in Japan. This type of green tea is made from the first or second flush of tea leaves, while tea after the third flush is called Bancha. Sencha contains high quantites of catechin, which makes the taste slightly bitter and crisp. (According to Norman Hollenberg, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, epicatechin can reduce the risk of four of the major health problems: stroke, heart failure, cancer and diabetes). If you require a sample please contact us.
Matcha - the Traditional Green Tea Ceremony
Matcha is a fine, powdered green tea, notably used in the Japanese tea ceremony. The initial taste is generally described as being slightly bitter but is followed by a lingering sweetness. As with the other above green teas, we are happy to send you a sample.
The above information relates to the green teas that we proudly import. We have more information on the other types of green tea.
